To apply for a tier 1 <\/tspan>investor visa you must:<\/tspan><\/text> <\/rect> Crucially, you will only be eligible for this visa if you <\/tspan>have secured endorsement as having a credible and <\/tspan>genuine business idea. There are two options for this <\/tspan>endorsement; it can either come from UK Trade and <\/tspan>Investment as part of Sirius \u2013 a global, elite, <\/tspan>graduate entrepreneur programme – or a UK Higher <\/tspan>Education Institution, but this must be part of an <\/tspan>authorised endorsing body. <\/tspan><\/text> <\/rect> This type of visa relates to business people looking <\/tspan>to enter the UK with money to set up and run a new <\/tspan>business. Paragraphs 245D and 245DF of the <\/tspan>Immigration Rules apply and there are firm <\/tspan>conditions in place for holding a tier 1 entrepreneur <\/tspan>visa which include:<\/tspan><\/text> <\/rect> You must have the requisite amount of money; <\/tspan>a minimum of \u00a3200,000<\/tspan>You must meet the English language requirements<\/tspan>You must be able to spend at least 50% of your <\/tspan>time in the UK<\/tspan><\/text> <\/rect> Be at least 16 years old<\/tspan>Be able to invest a minimum of \u00a32,000,000<\/tspan><\/text> <\/rect> Be 16 or over<\/tspan>Be able to speak, write, read and understand English<\/tspan>Have a firm offer of a place on a course<\/tspan>Be able to fund both your living costs and your <\/tspan>course<\/tspan><\/text> <\/rect> Undergo training<\/tspan>Undertake work experience<\/tspan>Participate in an Overseas Government Language <\/tspan>Programme<\/tspan>A fellowship or research through an approved <\/tspan>government authorised exchange scheme<\/tspan><\/text> <\/rect> Entrepreneur visa<\/text> <\/rect> Investor visa<\/text> <\/rect> This visa is for workers who have a firm job offer <\/tspan>from a UK-based company. This company must hold <\/tspan>a sponsorship licence and once this has been <\/tspan>granted the company concerned can then award <\/tspan>certificates of sponsorship which are necessary as <\/tspan>part of an immigration application from a non-EEA <\/tspan>national. There are a number of eligibility criteria to <\/tspan>fulfil to apply for this visa.<\/tspan><\/text> <\/rect> General visa <\/tspan>(sponsored)<\/tspan><\/text> <\/rect> In order to apply for this type of tier 2 visa you must <\/tspan>have established yourself as an elite sportsperson or <\/tspan>coach at the very highest international level.
